Here at Romag, our laminated glass is manufactured by bonding together two or more layers of high-quality float glass under heat and pressure using an interlayer of polyvinyl butyral (PVB). The PVB has no adverse effect on light transmission but absorbs in excess of 99% of ultraviolet light. Laminated glass can perform many functions including safety, security, bullet/blast resistance and solar control.
This glass is perfectly suited for use in architectural and transport applications where the use of monolithic glass would prevent a hazard if breakage were to occur. Visit our architectural and transport market pages to see how our product has been used in our clients’ projects.
Our laminated safety glass is processed in cutting-edge clean rooms and high-pressure autoclaves. We use many different interlayers depending upon your requirements, and we have the ability to produce bespoke constructions often incorporating various coloured interlayers, printed surfaces, heat mats, solar control and acoustic compounds. We have our own ballistic testing laboratory which ensures the perfect end solution every time.
