Applications
It is extremely important with security products that protection levels applicable to individual projects and applications remain confidential, and individual case studies are therefore deliberately omitted from this section. The key customer base for this type of product include:-
-
Banks - Most UK banks and building societies, as well as some overseas banks, install Romag glass into their counter screens and other high risk locations such as bullion centres. The level of protection may vary considerably depending on individual customer requirements, and specific risk assessment.
-
Central Government - Our glass is incorporated into ministerial and cabinet office buildings, including the heart of British Government in Whitehall and Westminster. Many benefits agency counters are also protected by our glass, as are other government departments such as passport offices.
-
Embassies - Both in the UK and abroad, many embassy buildings are protected by Romag glass against the risk of attack from physical attack, bullets, and bombs as indeed are various military installations.
-
Police - Several inner city police stations are vulnerable to attack from hand held weapons, bricks and other hand propelled missiles, and of course fire arms. By selecting the correct glass specification our glass will provide protection against any, or all of these types of threat.
-
Jewellers - "Smash and grab" raids can be virtually eliminated with the use of Romag laminated glass. As well as meeting the requirements of BS 5544, we also develop glass to meet threat levels specified by individual customers and their insurance companies. All forms of attack can be resisted including sledge hammers, pickaxes, bricks and other missiles and, of course, guns.
