Transparent armour for high levels of protection with maximum visibility
Romag has a reputation for manufacturing military glass which can resist the highest levels of attack without compromising visibility. Whether it’s windscreens and vision panels for military vehicles and machinery patrolling and working in active warzones, or windows, doors and partitions for strategic military sites and guard houses, Romag has the solution for you.
In the complex world of defence, specifications are very exacting. Our experienced design team ensure nothing is left to chance, with all constructions tested in-house during development and then independently certified. Our bullet-resistant glass is tested to STANAG 4 and our blast-resistant glass to DIN 52290 Part 5. We can also provide bespoke constructions for unique installations or for specific threats.
We test this ‘transparent armour’ at our in-house glass-testing facility, which includes a high-velocity cannon to test the impact resistance of our glass. Our thorough testing enables us to develop bespoke glass specifications to meet a diverse range of customer requirements and threat levels. Our glass has also been tested to temperatures ranging from -40°C to +50°C, so no matter where you need to operate, we can design and manufacture glass that will be more than up to the task.
We can design a glass construction which can achieve high levels of protection at the lowest weight possible, making it a flexible building material. As a reference point, our bullet resistant glass is the thinnest and lightest security glass on the market.
Our clients include the Ministry of Defence, United Nations, and Egyptian and Singapore Armies. Our products are ideal for a number of purposes, such as armoured personnel carriers, jeeps, trucks, tanks, MOD frigates, logistical vehicles, and even in buildings that require protection.
